Raleigh Durham Veterinary Hospital

The staff at Raleigh-Durham Veterinary Hospital are the most amazing people. My dogs Meeka and Jax love the treats, love and care they are offered. The happy visits have made the vet visits possible for my dogs and I would follow Dr. Hedges anywhere.

We have 3 cats that get seen by the team here and every one of them receives excellent care. The staff is great with them and take incredible care of our elderly kitties, I always trust they have our best interest at heart and try to do the most for our cat without costing us an arm and a leg. One of our cats swallowed a string and dr hedges was able to see him that morning to take him into surgery. They give great care instructions and take the time to walk us through what we can do to improve our pets lives as they age. Thank you for everything you all do!

If I could give less than a 1 I would, just like someone else posted my dog was misdiagnosed with cancer unfortunately, I allowed this vet to butcher my dog to remove this cancer, and she got an infection and almost died. It was at another animal hospital that I found out she was misdiagnosed never heard from the vet never got an apology. Best of advice I can give you is take your dog cat or animal somewhere else.

Recently moved back to Durham and found that our beloved previous vet had moved away. I was concerned that we wouldn't find another vet we trusted as much as her but I needn't have been. Dr Hedges and her team are remarkable. They are great listeners, clearly very invested in doing what's right for each animal they treat. The initial paperwork is the most comprehensive I've ever seen, and I've worked in veterinary reception in the past. I've never felt rushed or dismissed. I highly recommend this practice. Speaking as a former veterinary receptionist, I would like to point out that vet appointments can be very fraught and emotional and owners sometimes don't fully understand what they've been told about their pet's condition(s) and likely outcomes. It can be overwhelming as an owner. Additionally, many owners don't have a good understanding of how veterinary practices/hospitals/billing work, expecting it to be the same as hospitals and medical practices for people. People often have a skewed understanding of costs, in particular, because they have insurance for themselves and seldom, if ever, see the actual full costs for their own medical care. Keep that in mind as you read reviews of any practice.

I love them...everyone is awesome there.. They answer questions, take the time to explain things..and Sir Rascal loves them too until he gets a shot but that passes quickly and he's right back to wagging his tail.very professional
